Blind Draws:
Before I get started here, I feel compelled to make one statement about Blind Draws for those folks who just plain can't accept the fact that they are "blind". GET OVER IT! Yes, I'm sure somewhere out there in the world there have been unscrupulous people who run draws. Almost everyone has some sort of story about someone, somewhere "cheating" when the teams are drawn. If you are one of these people, I'd like to ask you to ask yourself a few questions;. First, What makes you think you're THAT important that someone will intentionally draw against you? Second, why can't you win anyway? Personally, I have always considered it a challenge to take a weaker shooter to the finals. It is good PR for the sport and makes me work at my game. Finally, what do they have to gain by cheating? REALLY? Would YOU want to do that job and listen to people like YOU bitchanmoan about the partner you got this time? If your mortgage payment or rent depends on the outcome of a dart match, I would suggest not playing in the first place.
"OK", you say, "But I KNOW they are cheating. I've seen it, myself!". Then, I guess, I have another question for you... WHY do you go back? Take your business elsewhere or start up your own draw. However, a word of caution; DO NOT badmouth that draw or bar. Let people come to their own conclusions. I have seen perfectly good draws ruined for sophomoric gossip and rumor and it's not good for the sport or fair to the bar owner or person running the draw.
